Preview and Prediction: Windthorst (6-0, 0-0) at Muenster (7-0, 0-0)

It is a top five matchup in 2A Division-II as No. 2 Windthorst takes on No. 3 Muenster in District 7-2A Division II.

Last week, Windthorst pitched a complete shutout against Hamlin, 45-0. Junior quarterback Logan Cope completed 17 of 22 passes for 312 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receiver Haven Vieth had 121 yards and two touchdowns and fellow wide receiver Zane Hackley also had a pair of touchdowns for 93 yards.

The Windthorst defense also forced five turnovers with three of them being fumbles and two of them being interceptions.

Muenster bullied Era as they brought home the win, 77-20. Sophomore quarterback Seth Stoffels threw 9 of 12 for 185 yards and three touchdowns. Junior running back Colton Deckard broke off big runs as he had four carries for 152 yards and four touchdowns. Senior defensive back Eli Saucer had two interceptions.

Not only are these teams fighting for district positioning and continued undefeated status, they are also fighting for the top spot in 2A Division II. Last year, Windthorst won this game 18-7 on their path to being state champions.
