It's a ranked matchup in District 5-6A as No. 11 Allen takes on No. 4 Denton Guyer as Guyer looks to end Allen’s long district winning streak.

Allen put a 70-burger on Little Elm, 71-29. The Eagles scored a touchdown on every drive as Allen put up 674 yards of total offense. Quarterback Mike Hawkins was perfect as he threw for 155 yards. Running back Jaylen Jenkins had 12 carries for 213 yards and four touchdowns. Fellow running back Devyn D. Turner had 110 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

The Allen defense forced two fumbles from Little Elm.

Denton Guyer had a big first half as they downed Denton Braswell, 35-14. Quarterback Jackson Arnold threw 23 of 32 for 249 yards and two touchdowns. This was a team effort as no receiver had over 60 yards although Grayson O’Bara had a touchdown.

The Guyer defense was the star as they forced four turnovers with three of them being interceptions.

This game likely represents who will be crowned with the district title at the end of the season. Both teams played Humble Atascosita and the main difference is Denton Guyer was the one on top. Allen has shown they are still a top team in the state, but Guyer is on a hot streak and are ready to be tested and prove they are the team to beat in 5-6A.
