It’s a battle of unbeaten teams in Bellville as West Columbia visits the “Pasture of Pain” to take on surging Bellville.

West Columbia ended up with an unexpected bye week after the matchup with unbeaten LaMarque was canceled. The Roughnecks offense has been a flame-thrower early in the season averaging 53.3 points per game.

Bellville was totally dominant in a 67-7 win over Rockdale last week, Robert Briggs, a Utah State commit was a big play waiting to happen as he averaged an incredible 42-yards per touch in the win.

Briggs had two receptions for 91 yards and two touchdowns receiving; two carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns rushing, Briggs also had 151 return yards and a punt return for a touchdown in the win. Bellville’s offense didn’t even need much from Baylor commit RB Richard Reese in the win.

The Brahmas will need Reese this week against a solid Division I squad from West Columbia and they’ll get that effort this week with a statement win.
