A huge 4A matchup is going down in Week 3 as 2020 Division I State Champions Argyle face off against Celina at Eagle Stadium in Argyle.

Argyle has continued their winning form as they dispatched a depleted Texarkana Pleasant Grove team last week, 62-21.

Quarterback Jacob Robinson threw a touchdown pass on his second play of the first drive as the Eagles tacked on 48 points in the first half while holding PG to seven. Robinson finished with 204 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

Argyle also forced three turnovers, two interceptions and one fumble.

Celina has continued to dominate their non-district schedule by adding a win against Paris to go 2-0.

Junior Quarterback Noah Bentley was the guy for the Bobcats as he threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter and a touchdown rush in the third, finishing with 240 yards passing and 51 yards rushing.

The Bobcats also forced three turnovers against Paris, forcing two fumbles and one interception.

This game is going to provide a big test to see if Argyle is capable of another state championship run, while Celina has the chance to make a statement win. While Argyle has won the last three years, Celina has been slowly edging the score closer as last year’s game was only separated by 14 points (35-21 in favor of Argyle).
