Highest-Rated: 2023 RB Rueben Owens II (El Campo)

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has 33 offers from programs like Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC and more. Owens made an early commitment to UT, but backed off his pledge over the summer to consider all possible options. Owens and RB Johntre Davis form one of the best backfields in the state.

Top Underclassman: 2024 B Jaylen Boardley (Pleasant Grove)

The 6-foot-0, 190-pounder is a prospect who quickly passes the eyeball test. Boardley flashed his skills on tape as a freshman and looks primed to be the breakout star in East Texas in 2021. It is easy to see why schools like Baylor, Houston and UTSA have offered. He will be a national-level name to know.

MVP: 2022 QB Brandon Tennison (Gilmer)

The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder led Gilmer to the state title game last season while racking up 4,900 yards of offense and 50 touchdowns. As a thrower, he is highly accurate and consistent. As a runner, he is one of the toughest players to tackle in the open field.
