Prospect on the Rise 

2022 Arlington Seguin ATH Xavion Brice (6'2, 175) committed to Oklahoma over an offer from Texas and is one of the newest members of the DCTF Hot 100.

Brice is now rated as the No. 10 ATH in the state, but his upside at cornerback is exceptionally high.

"Smooth athlete, he's your Deion Sanders," said Arlington Seguin head Coach Joe Gordon. "He will outjump you. His ball skills are better than everyone else's and (he) also has the pull-away speed. He has the lockdown mentality."

Commit of the Week

2022 Garland S Chace Biddle (6'1, 180) committed to SMU over TCU, Alabama, and Oklahoma offers. 

Biddle checks in at No. 38 in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Scouting Report: Biddle is a high-level division one talent at safety or wide receiver. He may have a higher ceiling in the defensive backfield, where he can use his size to secure tackles and patrol the middle of the field.

Underclassmen of the Week

2024 Texarkana Pleasant Grove RB Jaylen Boardley (6'0, 190) is a name that every TXHSFB fan needs to note.

Boardley is a prospect who quickly passes the eyeball test. He flashed his skills on tape as a freshman and looks primed to be the breakout star in East Texas in 2021. 

It is easy to see why schools like Baylor, Houston and UTSA have offered, but he will be a national-level name to know. 

Recruit of the Week

2022 Texas High DE Derrick Brown (6'3, 210) recently narrowed his list to Baylor and Texas. 

Brown had racked up 28 offers throughout the recruiting process but is now set to decide on July 31 between the two in-state Big 12 programs. 

Brown, who collected 67 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, and six sacks as a junior, is rated as the No. 44 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100. As a member of the Top 50, he has earned four-star status.
