Prospect on the Rise

2022 Arlington Seguin OT Quinton Harris (6'6, 280) picked up an offer from SMU on an unofficial visit and committed on the same day.

Harris picked the Mustangs over an offer from Kansas.

Scouting Report: Harris is an offensive lineman who has the size and body to develop into a college starter. He is still developmentally raw but shows flashes at times, and you can see the potential.

Commit of the Week

DCTF No. 57 prospect CB Marcus Scott II (6'2, 170) announced that he was switching his commitment from LSU to Missouri.

Scott also confirmed that he has plans to play for Conroe in 2021 after helping guide The Woodlands College Park to a state championship in the 4x400 relay.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Scott is a cornerback with a track background and an NCAA pedigree. He has the size of a safety but the nimbleness and shuffle of an elite cornerback, giving him a cornerback projection for college. Scott has the confidence, skills, and size to play on the island.

Underclassmen of the Week

2023 Haslet Eaton TE Jaden Platt (6'5, 235) has been on fire so far in June.

Platt picked up his first offer on June 1 from Iowa State after attending a camp in Ames, and offers followed from Texas Tech, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State.

Interestingly, Platt played on the JV team as a sophomore to get more reps and that is exactly the same roadmap that current Texas A&M four-star commitment OT Hunter Erb followed at Eaton.

Could Platt be a DCTF four-star soon as well? Could he also be an Aggie? Time will tell.

Recruit of the Week

2022 Garland WR Jordan Hudson (6'1, 180) announced that he was decommitting from Oklahoma.

Hudson, who checks in at No. 29 in the DCTF Hot 100, collected 21 scholarship offers but will be taking a serious look at in-state schools like SMU, TCU, and Texas, among others.

SMU has been gaining a lot of steam in the rumor mills as Hudson has developed strong connections with DCTF 2021 40 Under 40 coach Ra'Shaad Samples
