Prospect on the Rise 

2022 Bellville RB Richard Reese (5'10, 175) picked up an offer from Baylor on May 10 and committed to the Bears three days later. 

Reese also had offers from Texas State and Houston Baptist. 

Reese had an impressive junior season in 2020, rushing for over 1,800 yards and scoring 28 touchdowns to earn District Offensive MVP honors. 

Commit of the Week

For the second week in a row, a Cy-Ranch prospect has earned the honor of being named the DCTF Commit of the Week. 

2022 Cy-Ranch DT Chibby Nwajuaku (6'3, 245) committed to Rice over offers from Air Force, Army, Columbia and Dartmouth. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: An defensive lineman who has the potential to grow into an athletic defensive tackle. Nwajuaka has natural pass-rush finesse and plays with a good motor. He uses his hands well and plays with a consistently low pad level.

Underclassmen of the Week

It is time for Lake Travis 2023 QB Bo Edmundson (6'2, 195) to take over the reins of one of the state's most prolific offenses. 

Edmundson passed for over 1,400 yards and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore to earn District Newcomer of the Year honors filling in for an injured Nate Yarnell. 

On the recruiting front, Edmundson picked up a new offer from Kentucky this week. The Wildcats join a growing list that also includes: SMU, UTSA, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Purdue, Tulsa and Utah. 

Recruit of the Week

2022 North Shore CB Denver Harris (61, 180) earned five-star status at DCTF, joining Southlake Carroll QB Quinn Ewers and Summer Creek OT Kelvin Banks Jr. 

Harris is most seriously considering offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU. 

Harris was named as the 21-6A Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2020.
