Prospect on the Rise

Look for 2022 Flower Mound QB Nick Evers (6'3, 190) to climb the rankings ladder after a strong showing at the Elite 11 camp in Dallas, where he earned an invitation to the Elite 11 finals.

Evers will join fellow Texas-based quarterbacks like Quinn Ewers (Southlake Carroll), Cade Klubnik (Austin Westlake) and Connor Weigman (Cypress Bridgeland) in the finals later this summer.

The Florida commit looked great in the "Pro Day" portion of the Elite 11 event and looked to have added some weight to his frame since the end of the high school football season. Evers has continued to make substantial developmental strides every day as he works his way up the national quarterback rankings lists.

Commit of the Week

2022 Beaumont United ATH Chandler Rivers (5'10, 175) committed to Duke over offers from Houston, SMU, Colorado, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and more.

The three-star is rated as the No. 97 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Rivers is a player who can do anything on the field. He is a star on both sides of the ball and special teams. He is one of the state's most exciting athletes, bringing a high level of athleticism and explosion to the table no matter where he lines up.

Underclassmen of the Week

Del Valle 2023 WR Braylon James (6'3, 175) picked up new offers from Ohio State and Oregon this week, as well as an invitation to the Under Armour All-America Game.

The DCTF four-star now has 15 scholarship offers, with schools like Baylor, SMU, UTSA, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Miami (FL) and Stanford on the list.

As a sophomore, James had 42 receptions for 442 yards and seven touchdowns.

Recruit of the Week

2022 Humble Atascocita OL Kam Dewberry (6'4, 310) narrowed his list from a Top 10 to a Top 5.

Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma all made the cut and the Aggies are scheduled to get an official visit on June 18.

Dewberry is rated as a four-star prospect, checking in at No. 8 in the DCTF Hot 100.
