It’s been a quiet off-season in El Paso when it comes to coaching changes, but we had our first big splash of the offseason on Wednesday when head coach Jeff Woodruff announced his retirement.

In six seasons leading El Paso Andress, Woodfuff’s teams compiled a 44-19 overall record. Prior to that, he spent most of his time in the college ranks with stints as an assistant at Washington and UTEP.

The departure opens up one of the most attractive jobs in the Sun City as Andress’ location in the Northeast portion of the city gives them access to traditionally one of the city’s most talent-rich areas.
