Prospect on the Rise

2022 Austin Akins OL Nikolas Hall (6'5, 285) picked up a new Big 12 offer from Iowa State and set up his first two official visits to Oklahoma State (6/16) and Baylor (6/25).

Hall also holds offers from schools like Akron, Kentucky, and Nevada.

Hall earned second-team all-district honors as a junior in 2020-21 and is considered one of the top offensive linemen in the Cen-Tex heading into his senior season.

Commit of the Week

2022 Little Elm CB Keyshon Mills (6'0, 190) committed to Colorado over offers from Kansas and Liberty.

Mills is the third TXHSFB prospect to commit to the Buffaloes in the 2022 cycle joining West Rusk QB Owen McCown and Pearland S Dylan Dixson.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Mills definitely has some twitch and nimbleness to his game. He will have a chance at corner, showing the ability to press and reroute and the top-end speed to run with receivers downfield.

Underclassmen of the Week

2023 Denton Guyer CB/S Ryan Yaites (6'1, 175) picked up his first in-state offer from SMU this week.

The Mustangs join a growing list of offers that also includes schools like Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Colorado and Maryland.

Yaites is a defensive back with the size and length of a safety but has a lot of experience playing on the island at cornerback.

Recruit of the Week

2022 Euless Trinity RB Ollie Gordon (6'1, 210) is the newest four-star prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.

The Oklahoma State commit had an impressive junior season, rushing for 2,083 yards ans 28 touchdowns to earn the distinction of being named the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Male Athlete of the Year.

Gordon has been equally impressive this offseason, constantly turning heads in events showcasing athleticism and pass-catching ability that is rare in a running back.

Gordon's abilty to step up in the playoffs and put his team on his back helped decide to push him up the rankings ladder even easier.

Gordon now checks in at No. 42 in the DCTF 100.
