Austin Westlake 2022 QB Cade Klubnik (6'2, 180) committed to Clemson over offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina and more.

"I'll be announcing my commitment to Clemson University, Go Tigers," Klubnik said in his commitment video. "I'm All In!"

Klubnik helped lead the Chaparrals to a 14-0 season in 2020-21 with a 52-34 win over Southlake Carroll in the 6A Division I state championship.

As a junior, Klubnik passed for 3,495 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushed for 583 yards and 15 scores to earn 6A Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Klubnik has been selected for the 2022 All-American Bowl.

Scouting Report: Klubnik's arm strength is readily apparent. The ball jumps out of his hand. He has the arm to push the ball vertically. His velocity opens up the middle of the field, allowing him to pick defenses apart easily.

What is most impressive about his game his ability to limit mistakes and take care of the football. He only threw three interceptions as a junior while attempting 353 passes against stiff top-level TXHSFB competition.

Klubnik is also a good athlete who understands how and when to pull the ball down as a runner and has the necessary speed to punish defenses when he does. He is a good all-around athlete who has a very high ceiling for development because he already has a strong arm and all of the intangibles you look for at the position on and off the field.
