Aledo 2022 S Bryan Allen (6'0, 190) committed to the Texas Longhorns on Sunday over offers from schools like TCU, Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State and many more.

The one-time LSU commit collected 27 offers, making him one of the most highly recruited prospects in the Lone Star State in the 2022 cycle.

In 2020, Allen helped lead the Bearcats to a record-setting 10th state championship while earning 5A Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Allen's younger brother, Class of 2024 Aledo CB Jadan Allen, was named DCTF Rising's Top 25 freshman watchlist and is considered one of the area's top young recruits.

Allen is rated as the No. 14 prospect in TexasFootball.com's Class of 2022 rankings, checking in as No. 2 safety in Texas.

Scouting Report:

Allen has established himself as one of the top safety prospects in the country. The state champion is a sure tackler who is also an asset in coverage because he's athletic enough to match up in man-to-man coverage.

Schools did not have to watch much film on Allen to pull the trigger on an offer. He is good in coverage, but he is also a very physical and sure tackler. He quickly diagnoses the plays and reacts.

The four-star runs track and has not been known for his blistering times, but do not let that fool you because he has excellent football speed allowing him to close quickly and make plays all over the field.
