UTSA announced three new future nonconference matchups, headlined by a matchup against the Texas A&M Aggies on Aug. 30, 2025 at Kyle Field.

The Roadrunners also closed out their 2021 nonconference schedule with their first ever matchup against UNLV on Oct. 2 in San Antonio. UTSA heads to Las Vegas on Sept. 18, 2027.

UTSA also scheduled four games against FBS independent New Mexico State – home games on Aug. 31, 2024 and Oct. 3, 2026 and road games on Sept. 20, 2025 and Sept. 22, 2029.

However, the headliner remains the matchup against the Aggies, which finished No. 4 in the final AP Top 25 after a breakout season under head coach Jimbo Fisher. The Roadrunners have lost both games in program history against the Aggies, including a 45-14 loss in 2016.

UTSA and Texas A&M finished the 2020 season ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the Texas Football College Power Poll. The Roadrunners earned a 7-5 record and were a tiebreaker away from playing in the Conference USA championship game. Both are expected to be among the best pound-for-pound teams in the state in 2021.

With the addition of the Texas A&M game, UTSA now has six Power Five opponents scheduled over the next seven years, including three matchups with Texas. UTSA's nonconference schedule in 2021 includes road trips to Illinois and Memphis and home games against Lamar and UNLV.
