Euless Trinity 2022 RB Ollie Gordon (6'1, 210) has been on the recruiting radar for awhile. Still, he has become the feature back for the Trojans and taken his production level to an unprecedented level in 2020.

Currently, Gordon has rushed for 1,879 yards and 26 touchdowns, gaining 10.1 yards per carry.

In a 49-45 win over Allen, Gordon was responsible for six touchdowns. He rushed for 455 yards as the Trinity run game wore down Allen's defense.

One thing that is noticeable about his game is effort. One way or another, Gordon will gain positive yardage or make a positive play for his offense.

"I mean, no matter if there is a path or not, we still are going to keep moving down-hill and get the positive yards. No matter if I'm stopped in the backfield or not," Gordon said regarding his strengths.

As the season has progressed, Gordon feels like he has improved in several facets. He believes he runs harder than he did a year ago and has also bulked up. His build is still on the leaner side, but there is space to continue to add mass.

Since the early portions of the summer, Gordon has been generating significant recruiting interest.

Iowa State was the first school to offer with seven other programs following in their footsteps. His other offers include BYU, Kansas, Houston, Utah,  Missouri, TCU, Hawaii and several more.

With it being still somewhat early in his process, Gordon has no plans of narrowing his list at any point soon.

"I don't want to narrow down yet, but I talk to Utah a lot and Iowa State," Gordon said.

In the past, Utah has had a reasonably strong connection with the Euless Trinity program, and the Utes currently have 13 Texans on their 2020 roster.

A slew of other schools have not offered Gordon at this point but are beginning to show interest in his talents. He noted that LSU sent him a letter while Memphis and Louisiana-Lafayette had been other schools that have been in some form of contact with him.

Euless Trinity plays Southlake Carroll on Saturday at Arlington's Globe Life Park at 11:00am.
