Prospect on the Rise 

Arlington Sam Houston 2021 S Javione Carr (6'0, 170) has helped lead was nominated for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after racking up 22 tackles, three PBU, and forced a fumble in a win over Irving.  

The DCTF three-star committed to the Arizona Wildcats back in early September over offers from North Texas, Texas Tech, UTSA, Kansas, Kansas State and Northwestern. 

 

Commit of the Week

Grandview 2021 ATH Dametrious Crownover (6'5, 260) committed to Texas A&M over offers from Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas, Arkansas, Minnesota, Ole Miss and more. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: A two-sport standout in football and basketball who is one of the nation's top two-way prospects at tight end and defensive end in the 2021 class. Elite height, length, and frame potential. Basketball background lends to good ball skills. More experience on defense to date but may have a higher long-term ceiling at tight end.

Crownover is rated as the No. 5 ATH in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Texas A&M also added a commitment from La Porte DT Albert Regis this week. 

Underclassmen of the Week

Cy-Park 2022 LB Harold Perkins (6'2, 200) accepted an invitation to play in the 2022 All-American Bowl. 

The All-American Bowl, annually held in San Antonio, puts 100 of the country's most elite prospects on one field and is broadcast nationally on NBC. 

Perkins is one of the state's most heavily recruited prospects in the 2022 cycle, as he has already secured early scholarship offers from schools like Baylor, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma and more. 

 

Recruit of the Week

Flower Mound Marcus 2021 QB Garrett Nussmeier (6'2, 180)completed 19 of 25 passes with five touchdowns to lead the Marauders to a 49-10 win over Keller Central. 

Nussmeier has been one of the state's most efficient quarterbacks in 2020, completing over 71% (79-of-112) for 910 yards and 12 touchdowns. 

The LSU commit is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect checking in as the No. 18 player in the state and the No. 2 QB. 

No. 22 Marcus (3-0) continues to climb the rankings ladder in 6A.
