Prospect on the Rise

Cypress Bridgeland 2022 QB Connor Weigman (6'1, 205) has helped lead the Bears to big wins over Shadow Creek and Klein Cain. In those games, he has racked up 962 yards and ten touchdowns.

Weigman has already caught the attention of many college programs, earning early offers from Baylor, Houston, SMU, Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Ole Miss, Utah and Virginia Tech.

Weigman is now the second quarterback in Texas in the 2022 cycle to earn DCTF four-star status.

Commit of the Week

Austin LBJ 2021 S Andrew Mukuba (5'11, 175) committed to Clemson over Texas and LSU offers.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Mukuba is rated as a four-star defensive back, but he is a freakish athlete. He makes highlight-worthy plays on offense, defense, and special teams. One thing about him that I love is his desire to compete. That combo of skills will make him a player who should be an instant contributor to any college team right away.

Mukuba is rated as the No. 1 S in the DCTF Hot 100.

Underclassmen of the Week

Denison 2022 RB Jadarian Price (5'11, 180) picked up a new offer this week from Stanford.

Stanford is a significant offer in Price's recruitment. He is an elite student-athlete with excellent grades and character, and the Cardinal was already one of his favorites.

Price, a standout at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Dallas, also holds early offers from Baylor, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Auburn, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, USC and more.

Recruit of the Week

Eastland 2021 QB Behren Morton (6'2, 175) scored ten touchdowns in a 91-71 win over Panhandle...10!

Morton racked up 425 passing yards (five touchdowns) and 112 rushing yards (five touchdowns), while also managing a 42.3-yard punting average.

The Texas Tech commit is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect checking in as the No. 41 player in the state and the No. 8 QB.

Morton was nominated for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week honors following his dominant performance.
