Dave Campbell's Texas Football is taking you through all the matchups you need to watch in Week 6 of the college football season.

Early Window

Marquee Game: Texas vs. Oklahoma, 11 a.m. on FOX

Usually, this game is a marquee one with major Big 12 title and College Football Playoff aspirations on the line. This time, both teams are heading into the Red River Shootout off a loss for the first time since 2007.

However, that desperation is part of what makes Saturday at the State Fair (kind of) so much fun. The Longhorns and Sooners are both in desperation mode after

Second Screen: Texas A&M vs. Florida

The Aggies follow up an embarrassing performance against Alabama with another difficult game against top-five Florida. It will be a major rebound spot for the Aggies at Kyle Field, and as they face off against former Manvel quarterback Kyle Trask.

Afternoon Window

Marquee Game: TCU vs. Kansas State, 3 p.m. on FOX

These two teams are virtual opposites. Kansas State is an astonishingly steady team. TCU has been a total wild card this season. Both of these things come to a head at Amon Carter Stadium.

Both of these teams have big wins over the Big 12’s blue-blood programs and have hopes of competing for the Big 12 championship. One of those dreams will take a big hit on Saturday.

Other Games:

  • Texas Tech at Iowa State, 2:30 p.m. on ABC: The Red Raiders have been astonishingly competitive to start the year but have struggled to win close games. Will that change on the road?

  • Texas State at Troy, 2:30 p.m. on ESPN3: The Bobcats haven’t played a similar-level team since UTSA in Week 2. With both quarterbacks back, how will Texas State fare?

  • UTSA at BYU, 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2: The Roadrunners are huge underdogs to BYU on the road, but UTSA has not given up against anyone.

Evening Window

Marquee Game: UTEP at Louisiana Tech, 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2

It’s strange to see UTEP in the marquee game spot, but very well deserved. The Miners are 3-1, but are ready for their first Conference USA game against a team that won 10 games last season.

UTEP is heavy underdogs against the Bulldogs, but La. Tech ranks bottom five in passing defense. Gavin Hardison ranks No. 11 nationally in passing yards. Are the Miners up for a shootout? We’ll find out quickly.

Other Games:

  • North Texas vs. Charlotte, 7 p.m. on ESPNU: The Mean Green have struggled mightily to start the season, but get another chance against an 0-2 49ers squad. UNT is in desperation mode after a series of bad games.
