Prospect on the Rise

Lexington 2022 ATH/S Jared Kerr (6'0, 185) is the newest DCTF four-star in the Class of 2022 after a big game in a week one 25-14 win over West.

Kerr also had a HUGE week on the recruiting trail picking up new offers from Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Florida.

Kerr now has 12 offers, including schools like Baylor, Houston, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Washington State.

Commit of the Week

Houston St. Thomas 2020 QB Maddox Kopp (6'4, 210) committed to Houston over Ole Miss.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Kopp is smart and understands coverages and protections. He has a short, quick release. He is more of a pocket passer but has good pocket awareness and works well on the move and is mobile enough to keep defenses honest. Strong arm -- appears to be able to make most throws with touch and juice.

Kopp is rated as the No. 11 QB and the No. 97 overall prospect in the DCTF Hot 100. He was an Elite 11 Finalist.

Underclassman of the Week

Grand Prairie 2022 WR Savion Red (5'10, 210) committed to SMU over an offer from Kansas.

Red collected 23 receptions for 475 yards and two scores as a sophomore in 2019.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Red is a slot-style wide receiver with a running back build. He can be used in a variety of ways within the offensive scheme. He gets in and out of routes quickly to get open. Red has some tremendous open-field moves and can be hard to tackle.

Recruit of the Week

Mansfield Summit 2021 OT Jacoby Jackson (6'5, 320) decommitted from TCU.

"After a talk with my family, I have decided to decommit from TCU," Jackson said. "I would like to thank the whole staff for giving me the opportunity to play for their program."

Jackson has offers from schools like Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, Arizona, California, Florida State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and many more.

Moving forward, Baylor is though to be in a great position to land Jackson's commitment. Jackson's teammate Hal Presley is already verbally committed to the Bears.

Jackson is rated as the No. 9 OT and the No. 84 overall prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.
