Prospect on the Rise

Frisco Lebanon Trail 2021 WR Drew Donley (6'2, 170) committed to Ole Miss.

Donley is a player who has been making big strides in his development in the off-season and as far as recruiting rankings are concerned, he may be one the state's biggest sleepers.

The DCTF three-star prospect is known as one of the state's fastest prospects, checking in with a 10.57 100-meter dash.

Donley's father (Doug) played wide receiver at Ohio State and for the Dallas Cowboys.

Commit of the Week

Austin 2021 QB Charles Wright (6'1, 195) flipped his commitment from Iowa State to Texas.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report:  Wright is a pocket passer with great pocket presence. He has good vision and mobility and he beats you with his brain and arm. Over the course of his development he has velocity and is an exceptionally accurate passer with all types of throws. Most impressive is that he is always ahead of his opponents, getting ball out on time. Wright is a natural leader.

Underclassman of the Week

Eight days ago, Shadow Creek 2022 ATH Randy Masters (6'1, 175) committed to Baylor over offers from schools like TCU, Arizona State, Auburn, LSU and more.

Masters helped lead the Sharks to a 6A Division II state championship in 2019, collecting over 350 yards and scoring five touchdowns.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Masters is an agile receiver who plays the game with an aggressive nature. His skills would translate well to the defensive backfield.

Recruit of the Week

Garland Lakeview Centennial 2021 five-star RB Camar Wheaton (6'0, 190) named his top three schools, and no in-state schools made his list.

Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma are the three schools that he is still considering.

The cut-down happened a couple of days after Wheaton visited OU for the 'Sooner Summit', an unofficial recruiting event organized by recruits and commits.

Wheaton is rated as the No. 1 RB and the No. 4 overall prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.
