Katy Tompkins 2021 QB Jalen Milroe (6'2, 195) flipped his commitment from Texas to Alabama on Monday night.

The news came down just days after the Longhorns landed the No. 1 QB in the 2022 cycle in Quinn Ewers.

"I want to say thank you to Coach (Tom) Herman and Coach (Tim) Beck for recruiting me and giving me the opportunity to chase my dreams and further my academic and athletic career at the University of Texas. I want to also thank Coach (Mike) Yurcich. I know I was not initially your guy, but you continued to build a relationship with me."

"I have decided to decommit from UT and commit to another university that shares my vision and aspirations. With that being said, I will be committing to the University of Alabama."

Milroe is rated as the No. 15 overall prospect in the DCTF Top 100 and is the No. 1 QB in the state.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Milroe passes the eyeball test, and he's a quarterback who can make you pay running or throwing. His size and speed make him a lethal threat to score anytime he pulls the ball down to run, and he has a howitzer for an arm.

Milroe completed 131-of-211 passes for 2,689 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushed for 389 yards and 8 TDs as a junior in 2019.
