Prospect on the Rise

West Orange-Stark OL Demetrius Hunter (6'3, 290) is continuing to pick up major recruiting attention and now boasts five offers.

This week he added new offers from Texas A&M, SMU and Colorado. Those schools join Oklahoma and Arizona State on the early offer list.

Hunter earned 10-4A first-team all-district honors as a sophomore in 2019.

Commit of the Week

Fort Worth All Saints 2021 OT Tommy Brockermeyer (6'5, 285) committed to Alabama alongside his twin brother OC James Brockermeyer (6'3, 270).

Tommy picked the Crimson Tide over offers from Texas, Auburn, Clemson and LSU.

Brockermeyer rates as the No. 1 overall prospect in the DCTF Hot 100 and was the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 OL MVP in 2019.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Tommy Brockermeyer is lean and big framed. He has excellent bend and flexibility. His technique is finely tuned. He is dominating, intimidating, and mean. The five-star prospect is very athletic and flexible for a prospect with his build and frame potential.

Underclassman of the Week

Garland 2022 ATH Jordan Hudson (6'1, 180) committed to Oklahoma over offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma State and more.

Hudson is rated as a four-star prospect by DCTF and is on the Class of 2022 TXHSFB Five-Star watchlist.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Hudson gets to his top speed quickly, he is an explosive player, and he is tough to bring down in space. If he gets his touches, he will make plays—a natural outside receiver who has the size to be an effective blocker.

Recruit of the Week

Mansfield Legacy 2021 DE David Abiara (6'4, 275) committed to Notre Dame back in March, but schools like SMU and Oklahoma are still hopeful for a flip.

SMU offered on July 4 and instantly made an impression and OU has been working hard to get him on their commitment list. We will be watching this recruitment very closely in the days and weeks ahead.

The four-star prospect is one of the nation's most coveted defensive end prospects, checking in as the No. 22 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.
