Prospect on the Rise

Marion 2021 OLB Jayden Williams (6'4, 210) picked up his first offer from Southern Miss.

The Class 3A star lines up all over the field for the Bulldogs, but is a very intriguing prospect on the edge as a hybrid pass-rushing specialist.

Williams fits the category of a "sleeper" prospect but watch for his recruitment to take off as more colleges find out about his talents and evaluate his film.

Williams earned honorable mention all-state honors as a junior in 2019.

Commit of the Week

DeSoto DT Byron Murphy (6'2, 270) picked Baylor over offers SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Kansas, TCU, SMU, Utah, North Texas, Colorado State, Houston, Georgia, Minnesota, Washington State and more.

Murphy is rated as the No. 93 overall prospect in the DCTF Top 100 and is the No. 4 DT in the state.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Murphy is an interior defensive line prospect with good quickness off the ball and has an explosive first step. He uses his hands well to create separation.

Underclassman of the Week

Allen 2022 OL Neto Umeozulu (6'5, 290) picked up new offers from schools like Baylor, Houston, Colorado and Iowa State this week.

Umeozulu also has offers from North Texas, Kansas, Arizona State and Illinois State.

The 6A road-grater is a beast in the weight room, reporting a 295-pound bench press and a 475-pound squat.

Co-Recruit of the Week

Two prospects in Texas added major offers that will change the landscape of their recruitments.

South Grand Prairie 2021 CB Jalon Williams (5'11, 170) added an offer from the Texas Longhorns to a long list that includes schools like Houston, North Texas, Boise State, Missouri, Utah and more.

Conroe Oak Ridge 2021 RB Alton McCaskill (6'1, 195) added an offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Bama joins schools like Auburn, Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech in the hunt for the DCTF four-star's signature.
