Prospect on the Rise

Houston St. Thomas 2021 WR Cameron Bonner (5'11, 175) picked up new offers from North Texas and Wisconsin this week.

Bonner also has offers from schools like Baylor, Houston, SMU, UTSA, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Utah and Virginia Tech.

It is the second week in a row that a prospect from Houston St. Thomas was named as DCTF's Prospect on the Rise, as QB Maddox Kopp took home the honor last week.

Bonner collected 49 receptions for 1,249 yards and scored 12 touchdowns as a junior in 2019.

Commit of the Week

Dallas Kimball 2021 CB Ishmael Ibraheem (6'1, 170) committed to Texas over offers from schools like Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Oklahoma.

Ibraheem checks in as the No. 1 CB in the state and the No. 19 prospect overall in the DCTF Hot 100 and was named to the 2020 Whataburger Super Team.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Ibraheem is the long and athletic cornerback that every school in the country covets. He is tall but narrow, and that allows him to sink his hips and blanket receivers deep down the field in coverage. Ibraheem has above average makeup speed and long arms that he uses to his advantage in press coverage.

Texas also secured a commitment from Kennedale 2021 S JD Coffey (6'1, 185), who is rated as the No. 2 safety in the DCTF Hot 100.

Underclassman of the Week

Argyle 2022 OL Sheridan Wilson (6'4, 260) picked up new offers from TCU and Arizona State.

Wilson helps anchor an offensive line at Argyle that is considered one of the best in the state. The Eagles were rated No. 2 in DCTF's Preseason 4A Division 1 Top 10 rankings.

Additionally, Wilson holds offers from schools like North Texas and Texas Tech.

Recruit of the Week

Garland Lakeview Centennial OC Ezra Oyetade (6'3, 285) accepted an invitation to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Jan. 2.

Oyetade also picked up new offers from Missouri and Rutgers to add to a growing list of schools like Houston, Rice, SMU, Texas State, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Washington State, Arizona State and more.

Oyetade is a true center prospect, who helps clear lanes for the state's No. 1 rated RB Camar Wheaton.
