Prospect on the Rise

Frisco 2022 OT Cole Hutson (6'4, 295) picked up a new offer from Texas to add to his growing list.

Over the past few weeks, Hutson has been one of the state's hottest recruits. He has picked up offers from schools like Hawaii, TCU, Arizona State and Texas A&M.

Hutson was one of the top standouts at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Dallas.

Commit of the Week

Richmond Foster OT Reuben "Deuce" Fatheree (6'8, 285) committed to Texas A&M.

Fatheree picked the Aggies over offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Fatheree is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in as the No. 4 OT and No. 12 prospect overall in the DCTF Hot 100

Texas A&M also secured a commitment from four-star Denton Guyer 2021 DB Deuce Harmon this week.

Underclassman of the Week

Southlake Carroll 2022 QB Quinn Ewers (6'3, 195) has been unveiled as the No. 1 prospect in TXHSFB in his class and named as a DCTF five-star prospect.

In his first year as a starter in 2019, Ewers helped lead SLC to a 13-1 record. He completed 292-of-402 (72%) of his passes for 3,998 yards and 45 touchdowns and rushed for 583 yards and nine scores to earn 5-6A MVP and second-team all-state honors.

Ewers has already collected offers from 28 colleges. Baylor, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma are some of the headliners.

Additionally, 35 TXHSFB prospects picked up four-star status on Wednesday and are on the five-star watchlist.

Recruit of the Week

All Saints 2021 OC James Brockermeyer (6'3, 270) officially named his top four programs: Texas, Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

Brockermeyer had scheduled official visits to see all four programs this spring, but those visits were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

No timetable has yet been set for Brockermeyer's commitment announcement.

Brockermeyer is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in as the No. 1 OC and No. 47 prospect overall in the DCTF Hot 100
