UTSA added seven new in-state commits over the weekend. Here is a breakdown of each prospect who committed to the Roadrunners.

(Listed in order of commitment time/date)

RB Kaden Meredith (5'10 185) - Longview
Meredith is not a big back, but he is a well-rounded one. He accelerates quickly and darts defenders in the open field with relative ease. The DCTF three-star has good vision and shows natural cutback ability. He has the "juice" to hit a hole and run away from defenders. Meredith is also an excellent pass-catcher out of the backfield.

LB Kybo Jamerson (6'1, 190) - Longview
One of the top defenders in East Texas. Jamerson had a breakout season in 2019. He is an exciting defensive prospect who plays multiple sports (basketball, powerlifting, track), but should add and hold weight once he can concentrate on football year-round. He is excellent coming off the edge as a pass rusher and is plenty physical. Jamerson relies on his strength and athleticism right now but will become better as he refines his technique.

LB JaCorey Hyder (6'3, 220) - Woodville
Plays offense and defense (RB, LB) but is a defensive projection in college. He is a very athletic linebacker with experience playing inside. He feels and avoids blockers and closes suddenly to the ball. Hyder is not a polished linebacker technique-wise but has the size and speed to be an every-down backer. A phenomenal athlete with the desired measurables.

LB Caden Holt (6'2, 220) - New Braunfels Canyon:
A big-framed linebacker who shows up as a physical presence on tape. He has good instincts and moves efficiently around the field. See and reads the run well, but there is not a lot of pass coverage on his highlight tape. He is strong enough to work through heavy traffic and find the ball. It is not far-fetched to think that Holt could eventually play with his hand in the dirt as he grows and matures.

CB Brian Mayes (6'1, 165) - Houston Heights
Mayes is fun to watch on tape because he is a cornerback who tries to be very physical in press coverage. He is also an aggressive tackler who will fly in low and take out the ball carriers legs. He has long arms, and that helps him jam up receivers as the line of scrimmage. He has moderate recovery speed and mirrors well.

OG Kamron Scott (6'3, 300) - Converse Judson
Scott was one of the most impressive specimens at the Net Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Houston. Has tackle experience but will move inside at the college level, and he has added 20 pounds of good weight in the off-season. He is dominant at the point of attack and can hold his own against elite-level pass rushers. Scott is built like a tank, but has long arms and is very light on his feet for a prospect with his size and strength.

QB Eddie Lee Marburger (6'1, 190) - Sharyland Pioneer
Marburger is a quarterback who puts up monster numbers (4,505 yards, 58 TDs). He is an improvisational quarterback who works well outside of the pocket and will throw from varied arm angles to work the ball to open receivers. He is pretty accurate, despite not always throwing the ball with the standard technique. He has a quick release and is a running threat when you need him to be. Marburger can adjust and modify based on the challenge each snap presents.
