Bishop High School, located near Kingsville on the Gulf Coast, went out of state to find its next head football coach as they brought in Las Vegas Bishop Gorman offensive coordinator Louie Rodriguez to run the program.

Bishop Gorman is one of the nation’s top high school football programs so it’ll be interesting to see how Rodriguez adapts to small school TXHSFB.

Coach Rodriguez cited ties to Houston and Kingsville along with wanting to live in a small town as reasons for the major change. He takes over a Bishop program known more for baseball prowess as the Badgers posted a 1-9 mark in 2019.
