Hallsville named Robinson head coach Tommy Allison as its next head coach at Monday night's board meeting.

Allison spent the last nine seasons in Robinson where he posted an overall record of 53-46, with his best season being an 8-5 mark in 2014. Allison has an overall coaching record of 92-60, and led Cayuga to a state title in 2009 and a title game appearance in 2008.

Previous Hallsville HFC/AD Joe Drennon departed in January to take over at Grand Saline. Hallsville ISD decided to split the AD/HFC position and in early February Hallsville named former Commerce head coach Cody Farrell as its athletic director.

"I'm really excited to get back to East Texas, its a great brand of football there and I can't wait to meet the kids and get going," Allison told DCTF.
