National Signing Day Central: Texas Longhorns

Four Key Additions

Who were the highest-rated signees or prospects who might come in and make a significant immediate impact?

RB Bijan Robinson - Salpointe Catholic (Ariz.): A nationally rated five-star prospect. Some may view this as the most critical signing in the Tom Herman era because of the problems UT has faced running the ball.

ATH Ja'Quinden Jackson - Duncanville: Jackson is a Top 10 in-state prospect. Rated as an athlete, Jackson could play a number of positions in college but don't sleep on his ability as a quarterback. He only lost two games he started in his three-year varsity career by a total of six points.

DE Vernon Broughton - Cy-Ridge: His quick get off puts opponents on their heels and he has a powerful punch to go with it. His overall athleticism and potential make him one of the top prospects in the country.

DE Alfred Collins - Cedar Creek:

Fan Favorite

What prospect was a fan favorite on social media or a local hero who starred near the campus?

QB Hudson Card - Lake Travis: Card is a plus in almost every category. He has above-average arm strength, a quick release, and is a dangerous runner. A confident player from a powerhouse program, Card should not shrink away from the limelight of major college football.

Super Sleeper

We pick one prospect on the commit list and break down how he might outplay his ranking in college.

Kelvontay Dixon: The hero of the 4A Division I state title game and the younger brother of Texas running back Keaontay Ingram checks in at No. 68 in the DCTF Hot 100 and there is a strong chance that he outplays his ranking.
