UTSA signed its highest-rated in-state prospect on Wednesday morning in Crockett 2020 TE Allen Horace (6'5, 235), who checks in at No. 75 in the DCF Hot 100.

Horace picked the road runners over P5 offers from Arkansas, Maryland and Ole Miss.

The one-time Arkansas commitment had forged a close bond with Jeff Traylor and Barry Lunney Jr. in Fayetteville and those relationships carried over.

Traylor is a legendary coach in East Texas and is known to be a great recruiter in that area, so it is not surprising his highest-rated signee hails from the region.

Scouting Report: An interesting prospect who is one of the top basketball players in his area. On the grid, Horace is a very long, athletic prospect who wins with athleticism over technique. He's been recruited at tight end and defensive end. Offense likely a better fit for the future. Owns a large catch radius and shows promising high-pointing acumen. Basketball player whose “post up” and go-get-it traits show on the gridiron against smaller defenders.
