Tyler Lee 2022 RB Jamarion Miller (5'10, 190) made his way to the DFW Metroplex with his sights set on competing and being one of the best at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase.

The East Texas prospect is coming off of a terrific 2019 campaign finishing the season as a first-team all-district selection at RB and a second-team all-district selection at CB for 11-6A.

Texas high school football fans and followers of recruiting might recognize the last name Miller in relation to the town of Tyler because of Jamarion's older brother, Damion Miller.

Damion was a four-star prospect at John Tyler and a one-time member of the 2017 Texas Longhorns signing class.

While Damion never made his way down to the Forty Acres, that experience has left an impression on Jamarion.

"Texas," Miller said when asked what schools he grew up idolizing. "Always grew up with Texas."

Oklahoma State, SMU, and UTSA have all extended Miller offers, although he highlighted SMU as the one school that's currently showing a lot of love.

Overall, the East Texas playmaker is keeping an open mind for his recruitment.

"I'm not looking for a school to go to right now," Miller said. "I'm still open and trying to look for a school that is best for me."

According to Miller, his biggest strength as a player is his speed. His sophomore year highlights showcase his ability to find a different gear once he reaches the second and third levels of the opposing defense. He's dangerous if he's able to find open field. Miller runs with toughness, and there are several examples of him breaking initial tackles before gaining more yards.

Moving forward into the offseason, Miller would like to fine-tune his game in several ways.

His cutting, aggression through running holes, and vision as a ball carrier are three facets of his game that he wants to continue to improve.

"My footwork is getting better and better," Miller said.

Miller's contributions helped improve a Lee program that made the jump from a two-win season in 2018 to six wins in 2019. The Raiders also secured a playoff appearance for the first time since the 2014 season.
