Impact Player of the Game

Kerrville Tivy 2020 QB Trapper Panell (6'2, 195) scored three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, to earn MVP honors.

"We just wanted to score," Pannell said. "We came out wanting to win. It was awesome! I give all the glory to God and my O-linemen. They were amazing, and I had some really nice receivers out wide. I had all the help, and all I had to do was put the ball in the right place."

Panell is considering offers from schools like Incarnate Word, Sam Houston State and UTEP.

"I don't know yet," Pannell said when asked about where he would be heading in college. "It is all pretty even right now. I am going to (officially) visit Sam (Houston State) in two weeks."

Uncommitted WR Cobbs a Force

The most impressive specimen in the game was San Antonio Wagner 2020 WR Joshua Cobbs (6'4, 205).

Cobbs is nearing the finish line of his recruitment, with three schools standing out.

"Right now, my top ones would be Wyoming, Middle Tennessee State, and Southern Miss," Cobbs reported. "I am just waiting it out and taking some more officials, and depending on who comes in I will make my decision there."

"When it comes down to it, I am looking for a coaching staff that is going to stay there, be there. A coaching staff that fits well with me. Somewhere that has the best chance to lead me in good directions in the classroom and also on the field."

Versatile DB a Riser After Strong Performance

The defensive MVP of the game was Cibolo Steele 2020 CB Maison Sharp (6'2, 180).

Sharp had some huge plays. He blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown and had an interception.

He has the size the college coaches covet at safety and showed that he has the one-on-one ability to cover top-rated wide receiver prospects at corner.

Sharp has offers from schools like UT Permian-Basin, Northwestern State and HSU, but his recruitment could heat up down the stretch to national signing day in early February.
