Rockwall 2020 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (6'1, 190) is probably the first player in the history of internet recruiting coverage websites to pick up a five-star ranking while he is on the field playing in a game, but it just happened.

So far, in the first half of tonight's Texas High School Football area championship game Smith-Njigba has collected 197 yards and five touchdowns, including a spectacular one-hander in the corner of the end zone.

The Ohio State commitment is enjoying a terrific senior season and has all of the traits that you look for in a top-flight prospect, including a terrific demeanor off the field and a work ethic that is praised by Rockwall head coach Rodney Webb.

So far as a senior (at halftime of his current game), Smith-Njigba has collected 1,750 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Smith-Njigba picked Ohio State over a plethora of scholarship offers from coast-to-coast.

The newly minted five-star has been selected as an All-American and will play in the 2020 All-American Bowl on Jan. 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
