Prospect on the Rise

Lamar Consolidated 2020 RB Taye McWilliams (6'1, 200) was one of five new prospects to add a fourth star in the updated DCTF Hot 100.

McWilliams—who was one of the top performers at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston—jumped up 35 spots from No. 68 to No. 33.

The Baylor commit—who has the size and athleticism to potentially dominate in the Big 12—checks in as the No. 4 RB in the state.

Commit of the Week

Wylie 2020 Kortlin Rausaw (6'3, 240) committed to North Texas.

Rausaw picked the Mean Green over offers from schools like Boise State, Colorado, Iowa State, Tulane and more.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Rasauw is a bigger-bodied defensive end who could provide some versatility upfront. He has a quick enough first step to remain on the edge, but his body suggests that he could also add bulk and potentially move inside. Rasauw is a good get for the Mean Geen as he is a defender with a high ceiling.

Underclassman of the Week

Port Arthur Memorial 2022 CB Jaylon Guilbeau (5'11, 175) picked up two new SEC offer from LSU and Arkansas.

The Tigers and Razorbacks join Texas A&M on his list, giving him three early offers to play in the Southeastern Conference.

Guilbeau also earned an invitation to compete at the All-American Combine San Antonio, Texas, in January.

Recruit of the Week

Rockwall 2020 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (6'0, 190) had nine catches for 325 yards and four touchdowns and earned a nomination for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week.

Smith-Njigba is committed to Ohio State and is rated as the No. 9 prospect in the Lone Star State per the DCTF Hot 100.

Smith is one of 100 players who was recently named to the watch list for The 2019 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year award.

TWiR Game of the Week: The Colony vs. Little Elm

Little Elm came out of the gates strong in 2019, and The Colony is loaded up with prospects. This is always a hard-hitting game, and it will be interesting to see how the season finishes for these two squads.

Bluechip: Hebron S Ryan Watts (Ohio State commit)

Top Underclassman: The Colony RB Kamden Wesley

Sleeper to Watch: The Colony DT Marcus Moore
