Prospect on the Rise

Add a Kansas offer to the list for South Grand Prairie 2021 WR Deamikkio Nathan (6'0, 175).

Nathan now holds offers from Kansas, Texas Tech, Bowling Green, Kansas State, Brigham Young, Illinois State, William & Mary and UCF.

So far this season, Nathan has collected 26 receptions for 389 yards and three scores.

Commit of the Week

Schertz Clemens 2020 LB Derrick Lewis (6'1, 220) committed to Texas Tech.

Lewis picked the Red Raiders over offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Nebraska.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Lewis is entirely back from last year's season-ending ACL injury and making physical plays as an enforcer in the middle of the defense. A true athletic MLB. This kid is better than advertised. Has a knack for finding the ball and splattering the ball carrier. He is sound on pass drops with the athleticism and coordination to defend the pass.

Underclassman of the Week

El Paso Americas 2021 RB Aaron Dumas (5'9, 185) picked up an offer from Houston to add to a growing list that also includes North Texas, SMU, Illinois State and New Mexico.

Dumas is the leading rusher in 6A with 1,416 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Americas (4-1) is set to face off against Franklin (5-0) this weekend in a game that is likely to decide the District 1-6A crown.

Recruit of the Week

Southlake Carroll 2022 QB Quinn Ewers (6'3, 195) had a massive game in a win over Denton Guyer.

Lewis was nominated for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after racking up over 450 yards of total offense and scoring six touchdowns (333 yards passing, 117 yards rushing).

Ewers recently added an offer from Texas to a list that also includes Texas A&M, SMU, Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio State and more.

Ewers is on track to be one of the top-rated prospects in the nation.

TWiR Game of the Week: Flower Mound Marcus vs. Hebron

A district match-up featuring two teams trending in a positive direction. Marcus is riding a four-game win streak, and Hebron has won three in a row. This will undoubtedly be a hard-hitting game.

Bluechip: Hebron S Darius Snow
Top Underclassman: Marcus QB Garrett Nussmeier
Sleeper to Watch: Hebron RB Jaylon Lott (UTSA Commit)
