Prospect on the Rise

It's only a matter of time before things start to pick up for Frisco 2021 ATH Chase Lowery (5'11, 165).

Lowery has been starring on both sides of the football to help the Raccoons off to their first 5-0 start in program history. Last week's win over Frisco Reedy puts them in command of the district title race.

Iowa State has extended an early offer, but plenty of schools are keeping close tabs like Baylor, Houston, SMU and Texas Tech.

Commit of the Week

Summer Creek 2022 OL Kelvin Banks (6'4, 285) committed to Oklahoma State.

The future four-star prospect picked the Cowboys over offers from Houston, Texas, Arizona State and Florida State.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Banks is playing his first year against varsity competition, and he has already proven to be a well-rounded offensive lineman. Playing left tackle, he is a productive run and pass blocker. He should fit in well with the fast-paced Big 12 offense in Stillwater.

Underclassman of the Week

Rockwall 2022 QB Braedyn Locke (6'0, 180) had a big week on the recruiting trail as he picked up his first two scholarship offers from Arkansas and SMU.

Locke has been putting up big stats against one of the toughest schedules in the state (Highland Park, Arlington Martin, and Longview).

So far in 2019, Locke has passed for 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns while only tossing three interceptions.

Recruit of the Week

Melissa 2020 QB Brendon Lewis (6'2, 200) had a huge game in a 56-46 win over Paris.

Lewis was nominated for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after racking up over 500 yards of total offense and scoring seven touchdowns (307 yards passing with three TDs, 200 yards rushing with four TDs).

Lewis is verbally committed to Colorado.

TWiR Game of the Week: Denton Guyer vs. Southlake Carroll

This has been one of the games I've had circled on my calendar. The match-up features many quality prospects on both sides of the football. The most compelling storyline is the smothering Southlake defense (12.5 PPG) versus the high-powered Guyer offensive attack (51 PPG).

Bluechip: Guyer QB Eli Stowers
Top Underclassman: Southlake QB Quinn Ewers
Sleeper to Watch: Guyer RB Kaedric Cobbs
