Prospect on the Rise

DeSoto 2020 OT Armaj Adams-Reed (6'5, 325) picked up offer No. 10 from Sam Houston State this week.

Illinois State, North Texas, Oklahoma Baptist, East Central, Fordham, Utah State, Southern Miss, Tennessee State and Fordham have also offered.

Because of his size and strength, Adams-Reed is a prospect to watch closely as the recruiting year unfolds. There is a wide array of programs tracking his development.

Commit of the Week

West Mesquite 2020 RB Ty Jordan (5'7, 185) committed to Texas.

Jordan picked UT over schools like Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Baylor, Tennessee and more.

Jordan is rated as the No. 58 prospect in Texas in the DCTF Hot 100.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: "Jordan is very slippery in the open field. Electric. Elite speed. Great pass catcher. He's a top back based on his skill set but may be looked as a slot-back due to his ability as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He's a take all day based on his versatility."

Underclassman of the Week

New Caney 2021 ATH Cale "CJ" Sanders (5'10, 170) committed to Texas Tech.

Sanders is the first public commitment for Matt Wells and the Red Raiders in the 2021 cycle.

Sanders was one of the top performers at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston. He was the District Newcomer of the Year in 21-5A as a freshman in 2017.

Recruit of the Week

Cibolo Steele 2020 WR Daniel Jackson (6'1, 200) earned a huge honor this week when he selected to play in the prestigious All-American Bowl.

Jackson is committed to Iowa State. He is rated as the No. 69 prospect in Texas per the DCTF Hot 100.

The 19th annual All-American Bowl will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 4, 2020.

TWiR Game of the Week: Argyle Liberty Christian vs. Plano Prestonwood

Two of the favorites for the TAPPS crown will face off. Argyle Liberty Christian has a number of P5-level recruits, like 2021 quarterback Daniel Greek (the son of Argyle Liberty Christian head coach Steven Greek). Prestonwood has hit the reset button after losing a similar haul from the Class of 2019, but it always has talent.

Bluechip: Liberty Christian CB Collin Gamble

Top Underclassman: ATH Cristian Driver

Sleeper to Watch: Prestonwood WR Riley Wilson
