QB: Sam Ehlinger, Texas (Austin Westlake)

Ehlinger is really starting to separate himself from the other quarterbacks in the state. It was more of the same against Oklahoma State, with 281 yards and four touchdowns through the air and another 70 yards on the ground, along with a game-clinching first down.

RB: Tre Siggers, North Texas (Duncanville)

This Siggers kid just might be good. In his third game playing running back, Siggers exploded for 143 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries. Through three games, he has 395 yards and three touchdowns on 7.9 yards per carry.

WR: Reggie Roberson, SMU (Mesquite Horn)

Roberson only had four catches, but each one was massive and usually over multiple defenders. He posted 122 yards, including receptions of 35, 44 and 38 over elite defensive back Jeff Gladney.

OL: SMU

The Mustangs went up against TCU, one of the best fronts in the nation. The unit allowed just four tackles for loss and one sack. All four defensive line starters finished without a single tackle for loss or sack.

UTL: Marquez Stevenson, Houston

Stevenson continues to be one of the lone bright spots on a frustrating Houston squad. In the loss to Tulane, he had a 75-yard touchdown reception and a 34-yard carry. He finished with 155 all-purpose yards and a touchdown on just four touches.

DL: James Lockhart, Baylor (Ennis)

Lockhart had the guy we’ve been waiting for him to have since transferring from Texas A&M. The senior posted four tackles, but two were for loss and one was a sack. He also added a fumble recovery, a pass breakup and two quarterback hurries to help keep the Rice offense under control.

LB: Garret Wallow, TCU

We can virtually pencil Wallow in at this spot every week. Even though his TCU defense struggled, Wallow led the way with 19 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. He’s been everything TCU fans hoped for.

DB: Michael Lewis, UTEP (Trinity)

Lewis was consistent and disruptive against Nevada, posting eight tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup while helping hold Nevada QB Cristian Solano to just 182 pass yards.

UT: Bryan London, Texas State

London tied the program record with 22 tackles in a triple-overtime thrilling victory to open conference play. For good measure, he added a sack on GSU quarterback Dan Ellington.

ST: Joshua Rowland, Texas State

Rowland nailed three of his four field goals and all four of his extra points, including a game-winner in triple-overtime, to help the Bobcats survive Georgia State at home. The senior also kicked four of his six kickoff through the back of the end zone.
