Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Richmond Foster 2020 QB Ryan Stubblefield (5'10, 190).

Stubblefield picked up his first FBS offer from Kent State to go along with offers from schools like Abilene Christian, Dartmouth, Cornell and Grambling State.

Stubblefield is one of the state's most intriguing prospects. He is built like a tank, but is nimble and has a cannon for an arm.

He passed for over 2800 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior in 2018 to earn first-team all-district honors and help the Falcons to a 9-5 record.

Commit of the Week

Texas A&M picked up a significant commitment from Longview 2020 QB Haynes King (6'3, 190).

King, who picked the Aggies over offers from Auburn and Tennessee, is rated as a five-star prospect, checking in at No. 3 in the DCTF Top 100.

Underclassman of the Week

This week's underclassman of note is Katy Taylor 2021 OT Hayden Conner (6'6, 310)., who made his commitment to Texas.

Conner is considered as one of the top offensive linemen in the state regardless of class and was named as a top-five OL performer at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Conner is an offensive tackle prospect with heavy hands. He is an edge-setter who has a basketball history with basketball nimbleness. Conner is a mauler in the run game with a good pass set and posture. He plays a tad high but is physically bigger and stronger than most players in his class.

Recruit of the Week

This week we focus in on Duncanville 2020 S Chris Thompson (6'2, 195).

Thompson, who is one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the state regardless of position, is set to announce his commitment on August 1.

Schools like Texas, Auburn, Ohio State, and USC are considered the front-runners in Thompson's decision-making process.

Thompson is the No. 8 overall prospect in the state per the DCTF Hot 100.
