Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Pflugerville Connally CB Jahdae Barron (5'11, 175).

Barron, a one-time TCU commit, made a new commitment to sign with Baylor.

Barron also had offers from schools like Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech, and Tennessee.

Commit of the Week

Texas picked up a commitment from John Tyler 2020 AH Kitan Crawford (5'11, 190).

Crawford picked the Longhorns over Baylor and Tennessee.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Crawford is an exciting prospect who could play on either side of the football in college, but has the size and attributes to fit in well in the defensive backfield.

Crawford was a key component in the Lions' 2018 playoff run, and he is a big reason why they are the district favorite again in 2019.

Crawford currently checks in as a four-star prospect at No. 50 in the DCTF Class of 2020 Prospect Rankings.

Underclassman of the Week

This week's rising underclassman is DeSoto DE Shemar Turner (6'3, 255).

It has been a big month for Turner, who picked up two substantial in-state offers from Texas and Texas A&M. Arizona State, Oklahoma, and Baylor are a few P5 schools which have also offered.

Turner was the DL MVP of the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Dallas back in January.

Recruit of the Week

Texas Tech picked up seven new commitments this week, so we are using this section to show some love to the work that the Red Raiders put in on the recruiting trail.
