Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Fort Bend Bush 2020 LB Kenneth "Trey" Phillips (6'0, 195).

This week Phillips added new offers from Army, Rice, Indiana, Georgia Tech and East Carolina after starring at the adidas Megacamp in Houston.

Those three programs join Air Force, Houston Baptist, New Mexico State and Texas Southern on Phillips' early offer list.

Phillips earned LB MVP honors at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston.

Commit of the Week

Texas picked up a commitment from Duncanville 2020 ATH Ja'Quinden Jackson (6'2, 202).

Jackson picked the Longhorns over offers from schools like Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU and Oklahoma State.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Plays quarterback in high school, but is a true athlete who you recruit relentlessly and find the perfect fit for when you get him on campus. At QB, he has good arm strength and his accuracy has continued to improve. We are big believers in his approach to the game and competitiveness. He could play several positions if QB does not work out – like S, RB, WR or LB. He is the total package.

Jackson currently checks in at No. 3 in the DCTF Class of 2020 Prospect Rankings.

Underclassman of the Week

This week's rising underclassman is Beaumont West Brook 2022 ATH Bryce Anderson (6'0, 180).

Anderson added new offers LSU and Georgia Tech this week. Those schools joined Baylor and Southern on his early offer list.

Anderson could play quarterback while he is in high school but projects out to safety in college.

Recruit of the Week

A&M Consolidated 2020 WR Brian Darby (6'0, 205) picked up a significant offer from the Oklahoma Sooners, which helps cap an impressive showing this spring.

Darby has made waves as a pass-catcher on the 7-on-7 circuit, and that along with a college-ready frame has helped him climb charts.

Darby also has offers from schools like Illinois State, Arizona, Tulsa, Nevada, North Texas, Southern Miss, UTSA, Kansas State and Utah.

Darby could get some looks to play RB by select colleges.
