ESPN, Fox Sports and CBS each released their first batch of college football game times for the 2019 season. 

Texas A&M and Texas State kick off the slate of Texas games with a Thursday night showdown at Kyle Field, the first game of the Jake Spavital era in San Marcos. Houston will travel to Oklahoma on the Sunday to debut Dana Holgorsen in front of a national audience. 

The vast majority of nonconference games are officially announced. Power Five intraconference games generally do not get released until closer to the date so that leagues can keep some flexibility. However, several were released early, especially Thursday and Black Friday games. The Red River Showdown also is officially on the books. 

The biggest takeaway from the schedule release? ESPN+ is becoming a requirement to follow college football. Baylor has a nonconference matchup on the premium network, and several AAC and C-USA games will make their way there as well.

2019 also marks the start of C-USA's partnership with the NFL Network. North Texas will face off against UTEP and Rice on the platform.
