Texas Tech football will add former Louisiana-Monroe wide receiver RJ Turner as a graduate transfer. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Turner posted 90 catches for 1,662 yards and 10 seasons as a member of the Warhawks. He earned All-Sun Belt honors in 2017 after posting 40 catches for 704 yards and six touchdowns, while leading the conference with 17.6 yards per reception.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pound burner will step in and solidify a young wide receiver room at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders lost top receivers Antoine Wesley and Ja’Deion High from last year’s squad. Top returning receiver T.J. Vasher posted 687 yards.

Turner is the fourth graduate transfer to join the Red Raiders since Matt Wells arrived on campus. The Red Raiders also added Penn State defensive back Zech McPhearson, Cal linebacker Evan Rambo and Utah running back Armand Shyne. Nevada wide receiver transfer McLane Mannix will also be eligible in 2019.
