2020 North Shore RB Zachary Evans (5'11, 200) is the first player to be selected as a five-star prospect by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.

In 2018, Evans helped lead the Mustangs to a 6A-DI state championship. He rushed for 1,784 yards and scored 32 touchdowns, earning all-district and all-state honors.

On the recruiting front, Evans has collected a lengthy offer list but has narrowed his on 11: Alabama, Georgia. LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.

Evans is rated as the No. 1 overall recruit and the No. 1 RB in the state per the DCTF Prospect Rankings.

Scouting Report:

Evans is the complete package at running back and one of the best the state has produced in recent memory. Johnathan Gray was the last running back to finish in the top three in the state's recruiting rankings and that happened back in the Class of 2012.

Evans is a true three-down back who is not only a threat to score any time he touches the football, but he is also a pass-catching threat who has continued to develop his blocking skills.

It is that blend of attributes that has him rated so highly by DCTF and all of the other primary recruiting services. The five-star is also one of the most physically imposing prospects in the state with verified 4.51 40-yard dash speed.
