Bishop Dunne 2020 LB Brennon Scott (6'0.5, 234) has collected over 30 offers, but an in-state offer from Texas was a significant moment.

"I love Texas, man," Scott reported. "I love TO (Texas defensive coordinator Todd Orlando) -- I love everybody. I love the atmosphere around Texas. I love everything."

Many speculated that Oklahoma could be an early front-runner in Scott's recruitment, but things have leveled out.

Scott will take some visits and is not in a hurry to make a decision.

"It is going to be tough," Scott said of the decision-making process. "I feel like OU and Texas are going to be the front runners."

"I am going back to Texas. I am going back to OU. I am going to Arkansas and LSU.  I am going to try and got a lot of schools. I may try and take an OV to Oregon, and I may try and take an OV to Florida too.

"I want to commit on National Signing Day (likely in December)," Scott said.

Scott feels like he could make an impact in the Big 12 if he indeed decides to play for a school in that conference.

"I feel like the Big 12 could really use some help on the defensive side," Scott explained. "The Big 12 is more high-powered and more up tempo they are going to be in need of more speed guys."

Scott helped lead Bishop Dunne to a TAPPS D1 state title in 2018.
