Red River Rivals Get Open

Two players punched their ticket to The Opening Finals later this summer.

OL Logan Parr - SA O'Connor: The Texas commit is a beast up front. Playing guard, he took on all comers and made the top five.
RB Jase McClellan - Aledo: The Oklahoma commit is a well-rounded runner. He has the size to take on tacklers and the speed to run by them.

Elite 11 Invites

Two players punched their ticket to The Elite 11 finals later this summer.

Haynes King - Longview: King tested through the roof, running a sub 4.6 40-yard dash.
Hudson Card - Lake Travis: One of the top testers at the event. Card posted a 107.79 rating.
Chandler Morris - Highland Park: Morris was one of the more accurate throwers and showcased tremendous footwork in the drills.

Recruiting Notes

Austin Regents 2020 QB Wilson Long was one of the more impressive throwers at the event. He has a quick and compact release. He decommitted from Texas Tech on Monday. He reports interest from Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Indiana, North Texas, and Houston.

Longview 2020 DE/DT Sawyer Goram-Welch has offers from schools like Texas Tech, Illinois, SMU, and more. He will be taking an unofficial visit to Texas this Wednesday to check out the Longhorns.

Duncanville 2020 DT James Mitchell has been on a torrid offer run picking up schools like Colorado, North Texas, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Tulane, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri. He is also receiving interest from schools like Texas and Oklahoma. Those two programs have yet to offer but if either do they could become a serious player in his decision-making process.

Frisco Reedy 2020 OT Nathan Anderson reports that early offers from schools like Baylor and TCU have caught his eye. He plans to take a weekend trip to Arkansas, and his sister attends the school. An offer from Texas A&M could play a significant role for him if the Aggies do decide to offer.

Bishop Dunne 2020 LB Brennon Scott has an abundance of national-level offers, but we still feel like his final decision will be between Oklahoma and Texas.

All Saints 2021 OT Tommy Brockeremeyer may have been the top overall talent regardless of position. His younger brother James Brockermeyer also competed. Ideally, they would like to attend the same university, but Tommy reports it is not going to be a make or break situation.
