Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Southlake Carroll TE Blake Smith (6'4, 242).

Smith added a new offer this week from Utah. The Utes join TCU and ULM on his early offer list. The Horned Frogs offered on Feb. 17 and should be considered as a strong early contender in his recruitment.

Smith has also been on recent unofficial visits to Arkansas and SMU.

Smith had a Top 10 performance at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Dallas.

Commit of the Week

Oklahoma added a new commitment from Carrollton Ranchview 2020 ATH Michael Henderson (6'1, 225).

Henderson picked the Sooners over offers from schools like Florida, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Baylor, Arkansas, Alabama, TCU, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and more.

Henderson plays quarterback in high school but will most likely be an H-back in college.

Underclassman of the Week

Terrell 2022 DT Keithian "Bear" Alexander (6'2, 320) picked up new offers from Texas A&M, Baylor, and Florida.

Alexander had a strong performance at the Dallas Under Armour All-America Camp on Sunday.

Jackson was tabbed as one of the Top 25 up and coming freshmen in the state in Dave Campbell's Texas Football Rising magazine that hit the shelves back in November.

Recruit of the Week

Carthage 2020 OT Ty'Kieast Crawford (6'3, 240) decommitted from Baylor on Tuesday but also climbed the rankings ladder on 247Sports as he was recognized as a Top 100 prospect in their updated national rankings.

Crawford has early offers from Baylor, Houston, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, SMU, Tennessee, and Florida State.

After watching Crawford in action earlier this past Fall, I compared his game to a young Trent Williams, who also played his high school football in East Texas.
