Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Channelview 2020 OL Paula Vaipulu (6'3, 230).

Vaipulu added new offers this week from Tulsa and Missouri. Those two programs join Houston, North Texas, and Nebraska on his early offer list.

Vaipulu was the OL MVP of the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston.

Commit of the Week

This weekend Texas added a new commitment from Port Neches-Grove 2020 OL Jaylen Garth (6'4, 290).

Garth picked the Longhorns over offers from schools like Texas A&M, Arkansas, Nebraska, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Texas Tech, Baylor, and more.

Underclassman of the Week

Richmond Foster 2021 WR Cody Jackson (6'0, 170) picked up an offer from Texas on Saturday and then received an invitation to the UA Future 50 after a strong performance at the Houston Under Armour All-America Camp on Sunday.

Jackson also has offers from schools like Baylor, Texas State, Oklahoma, Houston, Tulsa, LSU, Tulane, Oregon, TCU, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Michigan.

Foster is quietly becoming a prospect powerhouse. Ceedee Lamb is currently starring at Oklahoma and the Class of 2022 features top OL prospect Rueben "Duece" Fatheree.

Jackson collected 57 receptions for over 1,000 yards of offense and scored 13 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2018.

Recruit of the Week

Shadow Creek 2020 DE Alec Bryant (6'3, 240) announced his commitment to LSU.

Bryant picked LSU over offers from schools like TCU, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Arkansas, and more.

Quick Hitter: Bryant has a good motor and long arms that college coaches covet at the position. He is solid against the run and can apply pressure on the quarterback. A well-rounded defensive end prospect with high upside.

Bryant earned first-team all-state and all-district honors after he collected 53 tackles and 16 sacks in 2018. Shadow Creek finished its inaugural season with a 15-1 record and a state title appearance.
