Prospect on the Rise

Grapevine 2019 WR David Clayton picked up another offer this week from Arkansas State.

The Red Wolves join schools like UConn, Hawaii, Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Colorado State, Missouri State, New Mexico State, and Lamar on Clayton's growing list.

Clayton has an official visit scheduled to UConn on Jan. 25th.

Kansas is another school that has been showing interest in Clayton, but the Jayhawks have not yet pulled the trigger on the offer.

Commit of the Week

Waco Midway 2019 DB Trevius Hodges-Tomlinson made his commitment to TCU.

"After a great evaluation of schools recruiting me with God and family, my next journey will be played at Texas Christian University," Hodges-Tomlinson said at the time of his commitment.

Hodges-Tomlinson — who picked the Horned Frogs over offers from schools like Baylor and Kansas State — is the nephew of former TCU great Ladanian Tomlinson.

Hodges-Tomlinson collected 85 tackles as a senior in 2018 playing safety, but he will play cornerback in college.

Underclassman of the Week

Regardless of position or class, Aledo 2020 WR Jojo Earle was one of the most impressive prospects at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Dallas.

Earle is super explosive off the ball and has tremendous top-end speed.

Earle quickly picked up an offer from Arkansas to add to a growing list that also features schools like Kansas, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, and Tulsa.

Earle helped lead Aledo to a 5A DII state championship win over Fort Bend Marshall. He collected over 1,300 yards of total offense and scored 19 TDs.

Recruit of the Week

Atascocita 2019 LB Myron Morrison made his commitment to Rice  — picking the Owls over offers from schools like Air Force and Colorado State.

"I am appreciative for every single coach that put effort into recruiting me," Morrison said. "That being said I am proud to announce I am committed to Rice University."

Morrison earned first-team all-district honors after helping lead the Eagles to an 11-2 record.
