The Weekly TXHSFB Recruiting Dump (Jan. 9)

Recruit of the Week

Atascocita 2019 OT Kenyon Green capped off a tremendous prep career with a strong showing in the Under Armour All-America Game.

Green — a Texas A&M signee —  was noted as the most dominant player at the game by media following the week's action in practices and that performance spilled over to the nationally televised contest where he made some impressive blocks.

Green was the OL MVP at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in 2018 and was also selected as the cover boy for the Dave Campbell's Rising magazine.

Prospect on the Rise

Spring Westfield 2019 OT Cedric Claiborne picked up an offer from Florida State in the ACC.

The FSU offer was Claiborne's first Power Five conference offer. The Seminoles join schools like Florida Atlantic and UTSA on his offer list.

Claiborne is set to make an official visit to UTSA on Jan. 11 and FSU on Jan. 25.

Commit of the Week

Spring DeKaney 2019 CB Marcus Banks announced his intentions to play at Alabama during the All-American Game.
Banks — a one-time LSU commitment — ultimately selected the Crimson Tide over Texas A&M.
Interestingly, Banks signed with Bama in the early signing period back in December but waited to announce that signing until he was on national television.

Underclassman of the Week

Bellaire Episcopal 2021 OT Donovan Jackson had a dominating performance at the All-American Combine on Friday.

It was the second year in a row that Jackson has stood out at the national combine, and it kicks off a camp tour that will continue with the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase on Saturday.

Jackson has an elite early offer list that includes schools like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
